Disc golf course tee pads may be constructed out of a variety of different material. Determining what type of tee pad to build is usually based on volume of usage expected and cost. Tee pads range from high maintenance natural turf, wood chips or crushed granite to very low maintenance screed concrete. Shape is usually rectangular with more emphasis on a trapezoidal design with the wider edge along the back edge of the tee pad narrowing towards the front. Other emerging tee pad mediums include rubber mats. Design standards encourage tee pads that are at least 12 feet long by 6 feet wide (front) by 9 feet wide (back). |
